This lady is surprised and happy that you have an interview. No don't blow it by talking about cars or living in your mom's basement. Actually, do talk about cars if you've got something interesting to say. I've interviewed scores of people over the years and have pulled for the people that seem most likely to be able to live with on a day to day basis. Personality goes a long way. Also be prepared for the standard interview questions and be sure to have some "good" weakpoints.
